We should feed dead bodies to rats. Discuss.
Every few years, I hear about a new thing which should probably be supplemented in my diet. Most recently, glycine. Apparently a standard modern diet has far less glycine than the old days.
If only there were some way to fill all my dietary needs in one shot...
Problem is, this is a symmetric technology. It advances AI capabilities researchers just as much as AI alignment researchers. Clearly, then, we need to *selectively* solve dietary problems only for some group disporportionately loaded with AI alignment researchers.
Solution: we should feed dead bodies to rationalists.
After all, if there's one food which definitely has all the dietary needs of a human, it's... humans.
Now, there are some problems to solve.
Disease? Prions? Look, man, we're in the sad part of the logistic success curve. Variance is good. So, let's pull dead bodies from a wide variety of sources and feed bodies from different sources to different rats. It's hits-based feeding; we only need a few wins to make up for the prion-ridden losses.
Another problem: dead people disproportionately aren't healthy [citation needed]. So, we need humans as close as possible to the ancients. Solution: wipe out native populations and feed the
